Despite approaching 37 years-old, Olivier Giroud is nearing an agreement to extend his time in Milan thanks to yet another positive campaign.
The Frenchman is tied with Rafael Leão as the team’s leading goalscorer with 8 goals in all competitions and hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down, playing pivotal roles for both club and country.
His current deal is due to expire in June, but the Rossoneri are eager to keep the striker at the club at least for another season.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Giroud’s agents arrived in Milano earlier today and met with Rossoneri executives Paulo Maldini and Ricky Massara to discuss a new deal.
Significant progress was made between the sides with Giroud just steps away to signing a new deal until 2024, which is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
