Salernitana snapped their three-game losing skid, dismantling Monza in a convincing 3-0 victory.
The Campanian side scored three goals within twenty minutes midway through the second half, earning newly appointed manager Paulo Sousa his first win in charge.
“I mentioned it yesterday but (Antonio) Candreva is an incredibly intelligent player who always finds solutions for his teammates,” Sousa told Sky Sport.
“The communication between he and Kastanos was extraordinary. Then there was Piatek, who really helped dictate depth and grew throughout the game.”
“I asked the team to stay compact, especially between the lines. We did well but we really became mentally unlocked once Coulibaly scored his extraordinary goal.”
Finally, “I also think it was decisive that the team displayed the right attitude in the game. This is the only way we can achieve results like this. I like everything from today.”
