Milan manager Stefano Pioli chose to stay positive at full-time despite his team dropping points for the second league match in a row.
The Rossoneri were held 2-2 by Lecce though they managed to overturn a two-goal deficit in the second half.
“Everything that could’ve gone wrong in the first half we got wrong,” Pioli admitted during his post-match interview on DAZN.
“We had a good reaction in the second half and could’ve won, but certainly we need to do much better. We didn’t come into tonight as victors given what happened versus Roma and Torino.”
He added, “Our mistake on the first goal is obvious but we need to keep the momentum and quality we displayed in the second half. “
“I’m always worried when we don’t win but now we must focus on the Supercoppa match against Inter.”
