Speaking ahead of his team’s league fixture against Sampdoria, Bologna attacker Riccardo Orsolini expanded on what’s been behind his strong run of form this season.
The 26 year-old is on pace to achieve his best scoring season as a professional, tallying 5 goals and 3 assists thus far in Serie A.
“Right away I had a strong connection with the manager (Thiago Motta), he brought a sense of mental freshness, peace of mind, and new ideas,” Orsolini told Sky Sport.
“I worked hard on my weaknesses and I believe I’m able to express myself better on the pitch now. From the moment he arrived the manager made me feel important.”
“He’s close with all the players and talks to us a lot, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a starter or hardly play.”
