Udinese captain Roberto Pereyra was all smiles after his second half penalty goal was enough for his side to earn their first win of the season and stunning 1-0 upset of Milan.
Playing in the pouring rain, the Zebrette frustrated the hosts throughout the affair and ultimately secured a vital three points in a shocking result at San Siro.
“It’s a special moment, obviously you’re anxious before taking the penalty but thankfully it went well,” Pereyra told the club’s official website at full time.
“Of course we’re very happy, but now we’ve got to continue working because there’s still a lot we need to improve. Our team has a lot of youngsters that need to grow but we’re the right team to allow them to do it.”
Adding, “The return of (manager) Gabriele Cioffi has helped change the atmosphere. We also want to dedicate this win to the supporters, they deserve it.”
