Eldor Shomurodov is on the move again after Cagliari struck an agreement with Roma to acquire the former Genoa man on loan.
According to reports from Sky Sport and Gianluca Di Marzio, the Uzbekistan international is expected to travel to Sardegna for his medical examinations on Monday morning following the successful completion of all the necessary details between the two clubs.
The attacker will join Cagliari on an initial loan arrangement for a sum of €1 million, with Roma covering 50% of his wages for the upcoming season. Additionally, Cagliari will have the option to make the move permanent for a €9 million fee.
The move signifies another chance for Shomurodov to relaunch his career after flopping with the Giallorossi in the Italian capital. He spent the latter half of last season on loan at Spezia but failed to make a significant impact—collecting only 1 goal and 1 assist in 16 appearances.
