Roma and Juventus in talks over Matías Soulé

IF24 Desk

Roma has set their sights on Juventus youngster Matías Soulé, marking him as a prime target for their remaining transfer campaign.

The 21 year-old Argentine, who spent last season on loan at Frosinone, has caught the attention of Roma’s head coach, Daniele De Rossi, who sees him as a valuable addition to his squad.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, Roma has already tabled a bid of €30 million for Soulé. This offer is close to Juventus’ valuation of the player, which is set between €35 and €40 million. Notably, Soulé has already given his consent to the move, indicating his readiness to join the Giallorossi.

Despite the appealing offer, Juventus’ sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli seems to prefer an overseas sale, with Leicester City reportedly showing interest in the promising winger. To further entice the Bianconeri, Roma is attempting to enhance their proposal by offering a 10-15% sell-on clause.

The two clubs are currently in the midst of negotiating the finer details of the payment structure. Discussions are expected to continue over the next few days as both sides work towards reaching an agreement.
