Roma defender Roger Ibañez weighed in on the importance of the team’s training camp in Portugal following their 3-0 friendly win versus RKC Waalwijk.
The Giallorossi are returning to the Italian capital after spending the past month on tour in both Japan and Portugal.
“These friendlies have been important for us,” he told Roma TV after defeating the Dutch side.
“Now we have to get our season back underway as soon as possible. It was three difficult games, but we feel good now. Now we have to go home and rest.”
“These friendlies made us aware of what we need to fix and improve upon. Now we have to be careful about everything we have to do and we have to get back to winning in the league.”
The Brazilian added, “We have important objectives awaiting us.”
Roma return to the pitch on January 4th when they host Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico.
