After securing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen striker Sardar Azmoun, Roma are still actively working to acquire another striker and have their sights set on former Inter man Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian is desperate to leave Chelsea before the transfer window closes next week after discussions with the Nerazzurri and Juventus fell through earlier in the summer. He wants to remain in one of Europe’s big four leagues despite significant interest from the free-spending Saudi league.

According to Sky Sport, the Giallorossi have been in contact with Chelsea over recent hours and the Blues are slowly opening to the possibility of a loan deal for Lukaku. In addition, the capital club opened talks with the Belgian’s representatives regarding personal terms.
