Roma pushing to acquire Alvaro Morata from Atletico Madrid

IF24 Desk

Former Juventus striker Alvaro Morata appears to be edging closer to a return to Serie A.

Spanish newspaper Marca reports the Spanish attacker’s representatives are progressing in negotiations with Roma, who are keen to acquire him from Atletico Madrid. Morata’s agent, Juanma Lopez, is currently in the Italian capital and already has an agreement in place with the Giallorossi.

However, there’s still work to be done between the two clubs in order to reach an agreement. Morata quickly gave his “OK” to the move because he was enticed to return to Italy, where his wife was born, and to be reunited with close friend Paulo Dybala.

Nonetheless, the biggest hurdle to a potential deal remains Roma and Atleti agreeing to an acceptable transfer formula and fee.
