Veteran midfielder Nemanja Matic is nearing an official exit from Roma after just one season with the club.
As per the most recent update from Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Giallorossi have accepted an offer from Rennes worth €3 million for the transfer of the 35 year-old.
Matic has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Ligue 1 side and is expected to fly to France tomorrow and undergo his medical examinations with the club.
His decision reportedly shocked manager Jose Mourinho—who reportedly didn’t hold back his dissatisfaction when the Serbian informed him of his decision to leave the Italian capital.
In his place, Roma are close to finalising deal for PSG duo Leandro Paredes and Renato Sanches.
