New Sampdoria owners Andrea Radrizzani and Matteo Manfredi continued their makeover as they made their first managerial appointment since acquiring the club late last month.
Former Milan and Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo was named the newest manager of the Blucerchiati, signing a two-year deal that runs thru June 2025.
It will be his third managerial role after he spent the 2021/22 season with the Bianconeri and finished fourth in the table. He was hired by Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk last June but left the club with three games left in the season after the two sides mutually agreed to split.
Samp also named former Chievo Verona, Juventus, and Catania defender Nicola Legrottaglie as the team’s Head of Performance.
