Initially tabbed as the replacement for Dusan Vlahović, it’s safe to say Arthur Cabral’s first full year at Fiorentina has been underwhelming.
Since joining La Viola last January, the Brazilian has scored only 6 goals in 35 total appearances with the club across all competitions.
His situation also wasn’t helped by the summer addition of Luka Jović—who has emerged as the team’s first choice striker under manager Vincenzo Italiano.
As a result, Cabral could be on the move this month in search of more consistent playing time. Florence-based outlet La Nazione writes both Sampdoria and Cremonese have inquired about a potential transfer for the ex-Basel man.
Both teams would be willing to acquire the striker on loan with an option to make the deal permanent.
