Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali is inching closer to an exit from his boyhood club and transferring to the Premier League in a potential mega-deal.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Newcastle United and Tonali have agreed to contractual terms, paving the way for the 23 year-old to join the club and end his three year spell with the Rossoneri.

The Magpies and Milan are still engaged in talks regarding a transfer fee for the player, but an agreement is getting closer.

Newcastle already formalised a transfer bid worth €70 million in total but Milan requested they up the offer and meet their asking price of €80 million for the midfielder.
