Sassuolo have officially acquired left back Matias Viña from Roma.
Late yesterday, the two sides announced they struck a deal surrounding the Uruguay international, who spent part of last season in the Premier League with Bournemouth.
The 25 year-old joined the Neroverdi on an initial loan with an option to make the deal permanent for an additional €10 million fee.
Viña originally joined Roma in July 2021 as an emergency replacement after Leonardo Spinazzola suffered a torn ACL during Euro 2020 against Belgium. Initially he started well for the Giallorossi but saw a dramatic decrease in playing time once Spinazzola recovered.
