Sassuolo announced they reached an agreement with Roma to acquire two highly rated youngsters in midfielder Cristian Volpato and fullback Filippo Missori.
The Neroverdi will pay €10 million total for both players while the Giallorossi maintain a 15% sell-on clause on each.
Volpato made his Roma debut on 4 December 2021 at the Stadio Olimpico against Inter, going on to register two goals in 14 appearances for the club across Serie A, the Europa League and the Coppa Italia.
Meanwhile, Missori made his first senior appearance against Zorya Luhansk in the Conference League in 2021 and brings his time at the club to an end with two Serie A starts and four first-team appearances to his name.
