Udinese head coach Andrea Sottil met with the media today as his side prepares to face Inter tomorrow evening at the San Siro.

The Friulani will look to repeat the performance they against the Nerazzurri in mid-September when they won 3-1 in thanks to late goals from Jaka Bijol and Tolgay Arslan.

“The match at San Siro is a thrilling prospect. The fans won’t need any firing up. We’re aware of how great Inter are,” explained Sottil.

“They’re a physical side who take plenty of shots and are top of the Serie A rankings for crosses made. This is evidence that we’ll need to be on high alert in defence.”

“That being said, we’ve got to be brave, play with a positive attitude and not renounce our identity. Every time we win the ball back we should take the game to them.”

“As for Simone Inzaghi potentially rotating his side, I’m not really taking that into consideration. When you play for Inter you’re obliged to give your all and they’ve got a squad good enough to do well in every competition.”

Adding, “Their players know that they’re expected to win every game. If Inzaghi makes changes then I’m sure he’ll have his reasons for doing so.”

“We can’t dwell on what we have no control over. All we’ve been focusing on is working hard over the course of this week so we’re more than ready for tomorrow’s game.

“The stats seem to suggest that this game will be evenly-matched. Both teams like to attack and create chances. We’re going to Milano with the aim of coming home with a result.”

“We won’t be thinking about the league table, the fixture list nor whether Inter have rotated or not. We’re capable of making life difficult for Inter.”
