Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti admitted his side will have their prior meeting against Cremonese in mind when the two teams face-off tomorrow in Campania.
The Partenopei host Davide Ballardini’s men just two weeks after they were defeated at home by the Grigiorossi and knocked out of the Coppa Italia.
“I’m not thinking ahead to the Champions League because we haven’t forgotten about what happened in the Coppa Italia,” confessed Spalletti during his pre match press conference.
“We saw all the qualities they possess. They’re a team that rarely takes the final blow and always seem to hang around in the match. They defend well and can punish you on the counter.”
Adding, “It’s a fundamental game for us, just like last weekend’s versus Spezia. All of our attention and focus is on Cremonese.”
