Milan boss Stefano Pioli was critical of his side’s attitude following their 5-1 defeat in the Derby della Madonnina to city rivals Inter.
The Nerazzurri ran riot over the the Rossoneri in the second half, scoring three times in the final twenty minutes to secure a comfortable win for Simone Inzaghi’s men.
“It’s a heavy defeat, very heavy,” Pioli told Milan TV. “Which is a shame because even at 3-1 we were still set-up well even though we conceded at times.”
“We needed to be more solid and aware tonight. Everything became much tougher after the 3-1—still, we can’t stop playing, you need to keep going until the end.”
“We’ll learn from these situations to get back to winning ways on Tuesday.”
