MatchDay 23

Bologna boss Thiago Motta appeared drained just moments after his side secured a thrilling 2-1 victory against Sampdoria this afternoon.

A late penalty save from Lukasz Skorupski and 90th minute winner from Riccardo Orsolini earned the Rossoblu a vital three points on the road and dealt a heartbreaking blow to the relegation-threatened hosts.

“It was fantastic to watch Orsolini and the lads go celebrate with the supporters in the away section after the goal,” the former midfielder told DAZN.

“There’s a unique sense of harmony between this team and the supporters. So we’ll enjoy this important yet very difficult feat, we deserve it.”

“Then starting Monday we’ll focus on Inter. I liked our attitude today, we go into every game believing we can win: we know who we are and where we want to go.”

Finally, “We have a common objective and the team always gives everything they have. Look at the substitutes today—they gave us so much in this game.”
