Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali admitted his side were dominated in their 4-0 defeat to Lazio yesterday evening in the Italian capital.

Appearing on Milan TV, the Italian international had trouble making sense of his team’s dreadful performance which extended their winless streak to three.

“It hurts to lose like that. We started poorly and it all went downhill from there,” confessed Tonali.

“There’s a thousand things I could say but the truth is we weren’t at our usual level, we did very little. Now we have to put our heads down and work.”

He added, “At the moment, we need to rediscover the spirit we showed that got us to where we’ve been up until this point. It’s imperative we stay united right now.”
