Ivan Juric and Torino earned an impressive win tonight by defeating AC Milan 2-1 at home.

Two quickfire goals late in the first half from defender Koffi Djidji and attacking midfielder Aleksei Miranchuk were enough for Torino to secure a crucial home win.

It’s the Rossoneri’s second league defeat of the season and their first in nearly a month and a half—the previous one coming on September 18th against Napoli.

They labored to get the ball on target despite starlet Rafael Leao having a golden opportunity to put Milan ahead early in the affair.

After a bumpy start, the Granata frustrated the Rossoneri throughout the affair and ended the match with only one shot on goal conceded.

Stefano Pioli’s men finished with an xG (expected goals) of 0.54—underscoring the Rossoneri’s creativity struggles.

Their lone goal came after a horrific mistake from Toro defender Alessandro Buongiorno, who lost possession near his goal and was made to pay by Junior Messias.

As for the hosts, it marks their second consecutive 2-1 victory and a superb result after they upset Udinese last weekend in Friuli.
