Torino pushing to acquire Eldor Shomurodov from Roma

IF24 Desk

Sitting tenth in Serie A, Torino want to acquire reinforcements this month and push for a potential European place finish.

Manager Ivan Jurić is particularly keen to purchase a new attacker given the inconsistency of the Granata’s strikers outside of Tonny Sanabria this season.

One of the options he’s most interested in is Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov, who’s pushing to exit the club due to a lack of playing time.

The two clubs have been engaged in talks surrounding the Uzbekistan international for several months. However, sources close to the player inform IF24 there’s still disagreement over the structure of the deal.

So far, the Granata have offered a loan with an option to buy which would become an obligation to buy once certain sporting conditions were met.

The Giallorossi rejected the proposal and want the deal to include an obligation to buy without any conditions.
