Alvaro Morata has officially completed his transfer from Atletico Madrid to Milan today. In addition, Marin Pongracic has joined Fiorentina, while Gaetano Castrovilli and Alberto Moreno have also made their moves.
The transfer market in Serie A is buzzing, with several high-profile deals being finalized on July 19. The standout transfer was Milan’s activation of Morata’s release clause from Atletico Madrid, for a fee of €13m, bringing the Spanish international back to Italian football.
Pongracic, who was on the verge of joining Stade Rennais, made a last-minute switch to Fiorentina. The Lecce and Croatia defender underwent a medical and signed for €15m.
Castrovilli, a former Fiorentina midfielder, completed a move to Lazio as a free agent after his contract with Fiorentina expired. Similarly, Alberto Moreno left Villarreal to join Como in Serie A on a one-year deal with an option to extend.
Torino secured the services of goalkeeper Alberto Paleari from Benevento as their new second-choice keeper. Meanwhile, Genoa loaned left-back Lennart Czyborra to WSG Tirol in Austria.
