Earlier today, former Udinese executive Federico Balzaretti was spotted at the headquarters of former employers Roma.

The ex-fullback recently left his Technical Director role with the Friulian side after one season, but his presence at the Giallorossi’s EUR offices didn’t have anything to with his own future, but rather that of his son.

Gabriel Balzaretti (15) will follow in his father’s footsteps by wearing the yellow and red shirt as he officially joined the club’s youth sector on Saturday.

Balzaretti enthusiastically confirmed the news on his Instagram, documenting his youngest child signing his contract with the club where he made 44 total appearances, writing: “Congratulations, my love.”
