Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao has officially completed a transfer switch to Fenerbahce.
The Zebrette confirmed on their website that the Brazilian has transferred away, just weeks after he informed the club he wouldn’t sign a new contract before his current one expired next June.
Given they had no intention of losing him on a free transfer, Udinese moved quickly to find a buyer with the Turkish side and Atalanta very interested in the defender. Fenerbahce ultimately won the race for the player after they agreed to pay a transfer fee worth an estimated €8 million.
“After 4 seasons and 130 appearances, with 6 goals scored, Rodrigo Becao’s experience with Udinese has ended,” wrote the Friulians.
“The Brazilian defender has been sold to Fenerbahçe on a permanent deal. All of us at Udinese wish the best of luck to Rodrigo in his new experience.”
Finally, “We applaud him for what he achieved during his stint with the club wherein he established himself in Serie A thanks to all the strides he made with us.”
