UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin took another swipe at Juventus during an interview with Slovenien newspaper Ekipa.
Asked to recount the infamous Europa Super League saga from 2021, the Slovenian took aim at the three holdout clubs (Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona) who refused to follow suit of the other nine and withdraw from the competition.
“It’s interesting to note the three clubs that declare themselves the ‘saviors’ of football, one is involved in criminal proceedings for falsifying its balance sheet,” quipped Ceferin, referring to the Bianconeri.
“Another is under investigation for payments sent to the refereeing organisation. We’ll see if there’s anything going on with the third. Any other comment from me would be superfluous.”
