Former Napoli and current Valencia boss Gennaro Gattuso is looking to Italy for potential reinforcements once the transfer window reopens in the coming days.
Two names the Spanish side reportedly have interest in acquiring are Lazio attacking midfielder Luis Alberto and versatile Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez.
For the former, El Mundo writes Sevilla remains his most likely destination. However, he’s still open to other proposals and Valencia is one of these possibilities. Though, the club is weary of his €20 million price tag.
As for Nandez, his agent confirmed to Sport 890 in Uruguay that the player could leave the Serie B side in January with a move to Spain a possibility.
“There’s two or three proposals on the table,” Pablo Bentancur revealed.
“Gattuso called me to discuss the possibility of bringing him to Valencia—I also had contact with their sporting director. We’ll chat again (with them) soon.”
