Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano couldn’t hide frustration with his team’s performance following their 1-0 home defeat to Torino.
La Viola dropped their second match in a row after being stymied by Ivan Juric’s men. It went from bad to worse when the team’s supporters showered the players with whistles as they exited the pitch.
“The supporters are clearly disappointed, they expected a win,” Italiano told DAZN.
“I understand their frustration because we continue to disappoint in front of goal and can’t seem to finish. We lost this match in the first, we were too slow and predictable.”
He continued, “We have to accept the whistles which are justified given the loss. We’ve really paid the price for injuries to some of our most important players.”
“But I think once we start recovering some of these guys they can make a big impact in the second half of our season.”
“Mentally I think the team is fine, I don’t think they’re nervous or worried, it’s just difficult to understand why we go through so many ups and downs.”
Finally, “The lack of continuity in our results is costing us points. Before the loss to Roma we achieved good results and performances.”
