Roma are targeting former youth product and current West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca as among their top priorities this summer.

The Giallorossi were forced to find an attacking solution this summer after Tammy Abraham tore his ACL against Spezia in the final match of the season.

The club’s transfer chief, Tiago Pinto, flew to London yesterday to meet with the English side to discuss a potential loan deal for the former Sassuolo man. The club and player have already agreed personal terms, however, there’s still significant distance with the Hammers.

Sky Sport reports West Ham informed Roma earlier today they’re only open to a permanent deal. The clubs are expected to reconvene in the coming days for additional discussions.
