Thanks to another stellar season for both club and country, Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is expected to be on the move this summer after garnering the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.
La Viola rebuffed multiple approaches for the 26 year-old during the January transfer window, including from Manchester United and Barcelona, but insisted on keeping him the remainder of the season.
However, L’Equipe reports Atletico Madrid recently opened discussions with the Tuscans for the midfielder and the negotiation is in an advanced state. Diego Simeone’s side are pushing to get the deal over the finish line as soon as possible to ensure no additional suitors enter the race at the last-minute.
